Matrikar vs WeatherTech
vs TuxMat
Three brands, three different jobs. Which one fits which driver, including the cases where Matrikar is not the right answer.
Choose WeatherTech if the floor is a work surface and you want the most rugged all weather liner available, regardless of how it looks.
Choose TuxMat if you want a carpet style mat from a Canadian brand with a very large review base.
Choose Matrikar if you want the floor to look like part of the interior and still be waterproof and wipe clean, in a colour that matches your cabin.

Why the fit is not a claim
Every vehicle interior is 3D scanned. The scan becomes a CAD model of that exact floor pan, and the pieces are cut from that model. One template per make, model and year, across more than 1,000 models.
That is the difference between a mat cut for your car and a mat trimmed to fit it.
Leather on top, three layers underneath
The surface is automotive grade leather, sealed and waterproof. Under it, a cushion foam core, then an anti slip backing that keeps the mat where you put it.
A TPE liner is one moulded piece of plastic. Both keep water off the carpet. Only one of them looks like it belongs in a leather cabin.
Where each brand is strongest
Including the two places where a competitor does it better than we do.
WeatherTech
The reference for rugged all weather protection. Moulded TPE takes salt, mud and meltwater without complaint, and the raised lip is built to trap it all.
Where they beat usProduct photography. A WeatherTech product page carries dozens of images and several videos. Matrikar shows eleven images and no video. If you want to inspect a product from every angle before buying, they make that easier than we do.
TuxMat
A Canadian brand with a carpet surface that stays close to the factory look, bilingual like us, with fast domestic shipping.
Where they beat usReview volume. TuxMat has accumulated several thousand reviews on a single flagship product. Matrikar holds 4.8 out of 5 across more than 1,900 verified reviews, which is solid but a smaller base.
Matrikar
Built for drivers who refuse to choose between protecting the floor and liking how it looks. Quilted automotive grade leather, waterproof, wipes clean in a minute.
Where we are strongerColour choice, older vehicle coverage, and a price that does not move. What you see is what you pay, shipping included, in Canada and the United States.
Which one is right for you
Three drivers, three different answers.
You drive a work truck, or winter means salt and slush
The floor is a tool, not a display. You want something you can hose off and forget.
Take WeatherTech. That is exactly what TPE is for.
You want the factory carpet feel, and you buy Canadian
A liner would look out of place, and you want the reassurance of a very large review base.
Take TuxMat.
Your cabin is leather, and the floor is the part that ruins it
You drive a Cayenne, an Escalade, a GV80 or a Corvette. Rubber liners look wrong in it, carpet stains, and you still need something waterproof because life happens.
That is the gap Matrikar was built for.
